2008 Draft Schedule Released:
The draft schedule for the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association's 2008 Spring and Fall Seasons has been released.  Middlebury's 23rd place finish in the 2007 NEISA rankings served the team well in terms of gaining berths into competitive events in 2008.  The team will sail in 31 regattas in the coming year and holds an alternate position in an additional eight events.  The team will certainly be busy in 2008!  Our draft schedule can be found on our Schedule and Results page.

Ready for winter - Middlebury finishes 23rd of 38 on season.
Middlebury finished the fall season with our highest NEISA ranking ever, 23rd of 38 teams.  The team also competed in more regattas this fall than in any previous season, including six scoring trophies.  As the air starts to chill in Vermont, the team enters our planning stages for next season and the following fall.  NEISA fall rankings can be found here.

Narragansett Bay Open: Middlebury places 14th of 18.
A blowout on Saturday compacted the Narragansett Bay Open to just 5 races in each division on Sunday.  A close fleet left Middlebury in 14th.  Skippers Max Junda '09 and Ben Brown '11 with crews Ashley Bell '09.5 and Paul Hildebrand '11 enjoyed crisp sunny weather and shifty winds in Newport, RI.  Full results can be found here.

Underdog Trophy: Middlebury places 7th of 14.
Breezy conditions on both Saturday and Sunday made for excellent sailing on Mass Maritime's Herring Pond. Skippers Phil Houten and Shannon Donegan with crews Adam Volwiler and Lois Parsley represented Middlebury. Shifty conditions challenged Middlebury sailors on Saturday but great sailing on Sunday allowed the team to advance to 7th overall. Detailed results can be found here.
